News: The number of young people wishing to emigrate to other countries has increased in Russia

According to an independent Levada Center survey published on Tuesday, the number of young Russians who would like to leave their native country has increased to a 10-year high.

Sociologists have warned that the growing desire of the younger generation to move abroad could damage Russia's economy, while the Kremlin has dismissed this as a cause for alarm. The share of young Russians wishing to emigrate grew in the years after Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, when it was only 20%.

According to the latest Levada results, 53% of Russian respondents aged 18 to 24 would like to emigrate. This represents an increase of 16% in five months and is the highest percentage of respondents since 2009.

"Young people do not take seriously the development model proposed by the state; meanwhile, their lives are not as organized as those of the older generation," sociologist Stepan Goncharov quotes the words of the Bella news website.

"They are focused on global channels of information dissemination and are likely to find themselves in a cross-border linguistic and cultural space," Goncharova quotes.

According to Levada, the next group of the population aged 25 to 39 was the next most likely to wish to emigrate (30%).

In all age groups, 21% of Russians expressed a desire to leave their native country. This figure is the highest since 2013, when 22% said they would like to move abroad.

Respondents cited concern for their children's future, the economy, the political situation in Russia, and improved medical care abroad as their main reasons to consider leaving.

According to Levada, President Vladimir Putin's approval rating was higher among respondents who said they would prefer to stay in Russia than those who wanted to leave.

Levada conducted a survey among 1,601 respondents in 50 regions of Russia between September 26 and October 4.

The composition and benefits of egg yolk

Cholesterol content

Maintaining low cholesterol levels is very important for people who worry about heart disease and other pathologies. An egg contains only 213 mg of cholesterol. The average amount of cholesterol that a healthy person should eat every day is about 300 mg per day, so, in fact, one egg yolk accounts for more than 90% of your daily cholesterol intake. For people who suffer from diabetes or high levels of LDL ("bad" cholesterol), the daily dose should be only 200 mg.

Counting calories

Egg yolks contribute to weight gain. By simply adding 3 omelets to your breakfast, you will eat an additional minimum of 225 calories. Eating one egg yolk per day can add at least 500 grams of weight in less than 3 weeks.

Fat content

One large egg yolk contains 5 grams of fat, and if you eat 3 eggs in the morning, you can get up to 35% of your daily fat intake.

Avoiding eating egg yolks every day is a choice to protect your heart health, but that doesn't mean you should stop eating eggs altogether. 3 scrambled eggs are 225 calories, 555 milligrams of cholesterol and 15 grams of fat. If you are trying to lead a healthier lifestyle, choosing proteins instead of yolks can significantly affect your health.
