A Resident Evil retrospective. Issue 05: Resident Evil Code: Veronica (2000) No. 4
This time, there was no room in the frame for the wild blunders of the previous parts. Of course, it was not possible to completely eliminate the Japanese spirit from the game, but there were no miniskirts. Good directing and voice acting have brought "cinema" Code: Veronica to a qualitatively new level. The role of Claire remained with Canadian Alison Court, one of the few who has worked with the franchise for a long time. Michael Filipovich got the laconic Chris, and Wesker, who got a lot of extra time in the Resident Evil Code: Veronica X version, speaks in the voice of the experienced Richard Waugh.
The story of Code: Veronica begins three months after Resident Evil 2 and revolves around Chris and Claire Redfield. If you remember, Chris went to Europe to investigate the activities of Umbrella. Claire also goes there, but in the Paris office of the corporation she is neutralized and taken to the remote island of Rockfort to a secret prison.
After a while, the island finds itself under attack by an unknown organization and suffers numerous destructions. As a result, another batch of the deadly virus is released along with the prisoners. Joining forces with another former prisoner, the young Steve, Claire is looking for a way to escape from this island.
Next to the prison is the Umbrella training center and, of course, the estate - how can there be no estate?! In it, Claire encounters a strange couple: Alfred and Alexia Ashford, genetically modified descendants of an ancient family, who were also among the founders of the sad corporation. Alfred tries to thwart the fugitives, and gets in their way in every possible way, but several mental disorders prevent him from doing so. Then it turns out that the real Alexia is actually in a medically induced coma, and Alfred has been filling in for his sister all this time by wearing a dress and wig.
Another discovery is the face of the guide of the attackers on the island, who turns out to be the former head of the STARS, Captain Albert Wesker of the Raccoon City Department of Internal Affairs. Wesker not only returned, he also acquired new superhuman abilities, which are shown to be auxiliary in the search for a sample of a new virus.
Meanwhile, Claire and Steve unravel a series of puzzles and, having found a transport plane and a Tyrant, the three of them leave the island. After the Tyrant is forced to prematurely abandon the aircraft, the plane is under the control of the autopilot, and changes course for the secret Antarctic base Umbrella. Alfred, who has activated the mentioned autopilot, goes in pursuit. Площадки с бонусами за активность в чате Топ казино с поощрением общения - награды за участие в сообществе
